Double-Murder Teen Suspect Escapes During Court Hearing In North Carolina

A 13-year-old double-murder suspect is currently on the run after he escaped from a courtroom in Lumberton, North Carolina.

According to Fox News, the North Carolina Department of Safety announced that the suspect, Jericho W., ran out of the courtroom Tuesday around 12:10 p.m. He was currently in custody of the state’s Department of Public Safety Transport Team and scheduled to appear in court for two counts of first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

“Division officials have a high degree of concern for the safety of both the juvenile and the public, due to a prior history of assaultive and unpredictable behavior,

There were no further details on his case due to the suspect’s age.

His mother, Nikki Jacobs, said she hopes her son will do the right thing so he can receive help.

“I just wish that he would come back, turn himself in and get the help that he needs.”

Jericho and another male suspect, aged 19, were arrested and charged in October after officers discovered Frank Thomas, 34, and Adam Thomas, 33, dead in their home.
