Elementary School Removes ‘Harry Potter’ Claiming It Contains ‘Actual Curses And Spells’
A Catholic school in Tennessee has decided to take Harry Potter books off the shelves of its library after the school’s priest said that they contain real curses and spells.
Per The Tennessean, Rev. Dan Reehil of Nashville’s St. Edward Catholic School sent an email in regards to removing the books,
“These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception.”
“The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text.”
The pastor allegedly made the decision after speaking to numerous exorcists in the U.S. and Rome who said that it would best that the books be removed.
Many other groups think that the best-selling books have satanic connotations.
