EMT Accused Of Punching Handcuffed Teen Gets Probation
The EMT who was accused of repeatedly punching a 17-year-old patient last year will only be receiving 12-months probation.
The Atlanta Journal reports that Deannah Williams was arrested last May after an officer’s body camera taped the employee punching the teen in the face while he was fastened to a stretcher with his arms handcuffed behind his back.
The Body camera footage also showed a very angry Williams repeatedly hit the teen in the face after she said he allegedly spit on her. Police can be seen grabbing her out of the ambulance through a side door.
The child was being transported for evaluation.
“What is wrong with you?” Officer Kevin Lopez asks Williams. “That is a kid, that is a child, a 17-year-old child,”
“That (expletive) spit on me,” Williams shouts back. “I don’t give a (expletive.)”
