The walls continue to crash down for the boys who brutally killed Junior Guzman-Feliz.
More details are being released in the case of the 5 boys who brutally killed 15-year-old Junior Guzman-Feliz over mistaken identity.
Yudelvi Mena, the former girlfriend of one of the murderers is now coming forward to share that she lied about her ex-boyfriends’ alibi to cops.
Mena told court jurors that her then-boyfriend Elvin Garcia told her to lie about why he has a hole in his hand after Junior was killed. Her initial story was that Garcia got in a fight over her and that’s what caused the hole.
“He had a hole through his hand, basically,” she said. “It was still bleeding.”
“Did he discuss what he’d say to the police?” asked Assistant District Attorney Morgan Dolan.
“That he got into a fight in a park because of me,” Mena said while her head was down and covering her face with her arms.
Mena shared how she and Garcia initially left town to go to Philadelphia before they were summoned back to New York and questioned separately by police.
Last year in court, Defense lawyer Steven Kaiser said that the wounds were “a la stigmata,” which is what Catholics believe is a miraculous appearance in relation to the Crucifixion of Christ. He also testified that the wounds became worse from rough treatment during Garcia’s arrest.
As of now, the trial, now in its fourth week.
