Fat Joe: “I’mma Be Honest With You, Lil Uzi Vert Is A Bad Version Of Lil Wayne”

While stopping by Ebro Darden‘s Beats 1 show, Bronx rapper Fat Joe brutally spoke his peace in regards to Lil Wayne‘s influence over the younger generation, specifically calling out Lil Uzi Vert; who he names a “bad version” a Weezy.

In addition to claiming that the new “Lil’s” have all mimicked Wayne’s flow, Joe bluntly states in response to Ebro’s mentioning ‘XO TOUR Llife3,’

“When you hear these little kids now, who doing Hip-Hop music, those is all Lil Wayne’s flows. Every last one…Lil Uzi is a bad version of Lil Wayne. It’s not as good as Lil Wayne. I’mma just be honest with you. He ain’t as good as Lil Wayne. That’s impossible. He’s a G.O.A.T. He was lyrically considered the best rapper on Earth for a couple of years. Lil Uzi Vert ain’t gonna get that.”

However, he did add a disclaimer despite his initial sentiments towards Uzi:

“No disrespect. He’s good and I like his songs. Lil Uzi, I got nothing but love for you.”

Also, he commented that he did in fact purchase a copy of Uzi’s latest album Luv Is Rage 2; considering it a “good album, [but] Lil Wayne is Lil Wayne, that’s different.
