A 2-year-old little boy is in critical condition after his dad intentionally shot him in the face with a shotgun after a fight with the child’s mother.

The NY Post reports that Michael Glance, 32, from Blackman Township in Michigan has been charged with three counts of assault with the intent to murder in the attack on his son, Ryker Glance.

“For whatever reason, Mr. Glance decided to take his anger out on his 2-year-old child that day,” Jackson County Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kati Rezmierski said.

The dad got into an argument with the child’s mother, Nicole McCarthy at his home on April 16. He then put a pistol to his son’s head and pulled the trigger, but the weapon did not fire. The mother grabbed the boy and ran to the car, but, Glance came outside armed with a shotgun.

“He pointed the shotgun at the same two-year-old son of his that was strapped defenseless in the back seat of the car,” Rezmierski added. “He pointed it at him and blew off half of his face.”

He also tried to fire at the mother. He faces up to life in prison and is being held on a $10 million bond.
