A South Carolina father fatally shot his daughter after he mistook her for a home intruder.
According to FOX Carolina, Nedeja Jermainequa Pressley,23, entered her home Sunday around 1 am when her father, Jermaine Tramone Pressley,43, fired two gunshots through the front door. He told police that he heard some sounds and immediately fired his gun. Nedeja was pronounced dead at the scene.
Greenville County deputies arrested Jermaine after they discovered heroin and cocaine inside of the home. He is charged with possessi0n with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine.

Pressley is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond. He was not charged with his daughter’s death and the investigation is ongoing.
