Feds Claim Fingerprints Link Kodak Black to March Shooting
Kodak Black cannot catch a break. The Rapper’s latest issues stem from a March shooting where federal authorities claim that they have evidence that links the rapper‘s fingerprints and GPS to the crime.
TMZ reports that Kodak allegedly bought three weapons and over 100 rounds of ammo back in February from Lou’s Police Distributors.
Kodak spent $3,518.71 for a Mini Draco pistol, Sig MPX K 9mm pistol and Sig P238 .380 pistol.
Prosecutors also claim that a Porsche Panamera rented by Kodak was involved in the shooting. Investigators claim that the target was a rival rapper, however, he was not shot.
Police responded to the scene of the shooting and found several castings and the MPX K Kodak has bought in February. Prosecutors claim the weapon was covered in Kodak’s fingerprints. They also claim that they found the Porsche abandoned just 14 miles from the scene of the shooting. The GPS also allegedly showed that Kodak was in the area and witnesses apparently saw him.
As of now, he is not being charged with anything, however, prosecutors want to keep him in jail without bail following his arrest at Rolling Loud for lying on two gun purchase applications.
Kodak’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen says that he has not seen any legitimate reports that say Kodak’s fingerprints were found on the gun, “Witnesses came forward to us as well and stated they did not see Kodak Black at the scene that night.”
