Felicity Huffman Faces Four Months In Prison After Pleading Guilty In College Admissions Scandal

Well, there you have it. This afternoon, actress Felicity Huffman accepted responsibility for paying a $15,000 bribe to rig her daughter’s SAT score and pleaded guilty to fraud conspiracy in the big college admissions bribery scandal.

Huffman appeared in federal court in Boston where prosecutors recommended a sentence of four months prison time for the “Desperate Housewives” TV star for her role in the college admissions scheme. They also suggested a $20,000 fine and 12 months of supervised release for the charge, which is a felony.

Huffman and a dozen other parents previously agreed to plead guilty last month, as part of the massive federal investigation. Huffman acknowledged her wrongdoings back in April saying,

“In full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions,” Huffman said. However, her lawyers are expected to argue that she should not face any time behind bars.

On the other hand, fellow actress Lori Loughlin and her husband has plead not guilty to allegedly paying a total of $500,000 in bribes to have their daughters accepted to the University of Southern California as members of the rowing team.
