Felicity Huffman Pleads Guilty in College Admissions Scandal
The Desperate Housewife has admitted to taking desperate measures to ensure her kids got into a good school as she just pleaded guilty in the case involving the college admissions scandal. 12 other parents and a coach also admitted their wrong-doing,
Huffman is reported to have pled guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud as well as honest services mail fraud.
As we reported Felicity allegedly Rick Singer $15,000 to fix her daughter’s SAT test. Her daughter was given twice the amount of time to take the exam and her answers were corrected afterward.
Huffman released a statement following her plea saying,
“I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.”
“I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community.”
There is no information on sentencing yet, however, the maximum sentence is up to 20 years in prison.
