The time has come for actress Felicity Huffman to serve her jail time for her role in the massive college admissions scandal that rocked elite universities around the United States.

On Tuesday, her rep shared that the “Desperate Housewives” star surrendered to authorities at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, which is about 40 miles east of San Francisco; where she will be there for only 14 days.

In a statement released by the representative said,

“Ms. Huffman is prepared to serve the term of imprisonment Judge Talwani ordered as one part of the punishment she imposed for Ms. Huffman’s actions. She will begin serving the remainder of the sentence Judge Talwani impose — one year of supervised release, with conditions including 250 hours of community service — when she is released.”

On top of that, Huffman was also ordered to pay a fine of $20,000.

Now, she had been given until Oct. 25 to report to prison. However, her rep did not explain why Huffman decided to begin serving her sentence now.

As we previously reported, Huffman pleaded guilty on May 13 while admitting she paid $15,000 to arrange for a college entrance exam proctor to correct her daughter Sophia’s SAT answers and for her daughter to be allowed more time to take the test.

During her sentencing hearing on Sept. 13, Huffman tearfully told the Judge that she accepted her punishment “without reservation.”

“I broke the law,” Huffman said in court. “I have admitted that and I pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions. Period.”
