The five suspects involved in the attack and murder of Junior Guzman-Feliz have been arrested.
NYPD officers apprehended two suspects in the Bronx and three more in Paterson, New Jersey. The five suspects are members of the Trinitarios, a well known Dominican gang. Yesterday, it was revealed that the members of the gang attacked and killed Junior Guzman-Feliz in a case of mistaken identity.
On June 20th, the five men dragged Junior out of a bodega on E.183 St. and Bathgate Ave and stabbed him repeatedly with machetes. After the brutal attack, Junior ran to St. Barnabas Hospital where he collapsed and later died. Police believe the attack was an act of revenge after a sex tape was released of one of the suspect’s female relative.
Junior’s family revealed that the teen wanted to pursue a career as an NYPD officer and was part of the NYPD Explorers program.
We will continue to update the story as more details develop.
