Former Jet Blue Employee Who Deployed Emergency Slide Missing In Mexico

Back in 2010, Steven Slater who was working for Jet Blue made news for Deploying a the emergency slide, now he’s missing.

Steven Slater, the infamous Jet Blue flight attendant who pulled an emergency slide has been reported missing in Mexico.

TMZ reports that Chula Vista Police listed Slater missing on Tuesday in Tijuana after friends say they lost all contact with him on Sunday.

Slater who just moved to TJ about a week ago took to Facebook sharing that he was visiting a monument in the city but has not been seen or heard from ever since.

Authorities in Mexico have been notified and are looking into Slater’s disappearance. As of now, there is no foul play that has been announced in this case.

If you recall, 9 years ago, Slater made national news when he got into an altercation with a passenger while on a flight landing in NYC.

Slater asked the passenger to stay served while the plane arrived at the gate before pulling luggage from an overhead compartment. The passenger reportedly did not agree with Slater’s request and smacked him with the luggage.

Slater who was upset with the whole situation asked for an apology which was denied. He proceeded to swing open the jet’s side door, deploying the emergency chute and sliding down with beers in hand.

Slater was arrested after driving an AirTrain shuttle to his home.
