Five people were killed after a small plane crashed at Lake Okeechobee. Four out of the five victims were attorneys from the same law firm.
According to News4Jax, the four people killed in Friday’s plane crash were attorneys from the Peterson Bernard law firm. They were identified as Eduardo Mulet, Eric Peterson, Matthew Fiorello, Heather Bridwell, and Edwin Mortell. Police reported that the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. after it took off from Sheltair Aviation Services executive hanger complex at Tampa International Airport. Mulet, a licensed commercial pilot, was operating the flight at the time of the crash.
A witness said they saw someone swimming away from the crash site but police say they have not identified or located the survivor.

Officials also reported that the plane crashed 400 miles away from the lake’s shore.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the crash and officials are determining the cause of deaths.
