Four Dead, Five Injured In Shooting At Kansas City Bar
Four people were killed and five others were badly injured after a suspect entered a bar in Kansas City, Kansas, and began shooting.
Police arrived to Tequila KC around 1:27 a.m., said Thomas Tomasic of the Kansas City Police Department.
Police believe there could be two suspects based on witness statements,
“Obviously being a bar at 1:30, stories varied a lot even being inside the bar,” Tomasic said. “We’re trying to separate out stories, find out the truthful from the maybe exaggerated a little bit and kind of going from there.”
The four people who were fatally shot have been identified as Hispanic males, who ranged in age from mid-20s to late-50s. As of now, there is no further identification.
Five other people had to be transported to the hospital where they are currently in stable condition.
Tequila KC is a private club and you can only attend if you have a membership or if you are invited by a member.
According to NBC News, police do not believe it was a random act of violence or racially motivated. They think it is linked to a dispute from earlier in the night.
“We do not believe it is random, we do believe this was an isolated incident,” Tomasic added. “We don’t feel that these suspects are going to go out and do this again.”
