A California man has died at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino a month before three U.S. tourists died in the Dominican Republic.
According to Fox News, Robert Bell Wallace,67, and his wife stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Resort on April 11 in Punta Cana. A day after their arrival, Wallace had scotch from the minibar and started to feel sick. His niece, Chloe Arnold, stated during an interview that Wallace had blood in his urine and was seen by a hotel doctor.
Arnold added that her uncle was checked into a hospital on April 13 and died on April 14. His cause of death was not released to the family as of today.
Wallace’s death comes a month before a couple from Maryland and a Pennsylvania woman was found dead inside of their hotel rooms. His death was also confirmed by the U.S. State Department:
“We can confirm the death of a U.S. citizen in April 2019 in the Dominican Republic. We offer our sincerest condolences to the family for their loss. Out of respect for the family during this difficult time, we do not have additional information to provide.”
