As a result of his generous efforts in Uganda throughout last year, French Montana has now earned the title as Rap’s first-ever Global Citizen Ambassador.
Additionally, the “Unforgettable” rapper received the honor Friday night (Jan. 26) at a ceremony in New York City for his helping the country’s healthcare hardships first hand.
While speaking on his newest accolade, French explains,
“It feels beautiful to be a child of God, citizen of the world and agent of change. I’m helping the people that need help, you know.”
Also, the Moroccan rapper shares his next-planned contributions are set for his home country; where he’s also filming his latest video for “Famous.”
“We going to Morocco. We expanding our platform to Morocco. Building up our…a couple of things that are going to help the kids in Morocco, you know…The whole idea of this is to spark the mind of the world leaders, you know. To help them do something on a bigger scale than what we doing. I just feel like all the mothers and children should have the right care, you know. It should never be a privilege, it should be a right.”

Consequently, his conscious efforts led to a domino effect, which saw The Weeknd, Diddy and his Ciroc venture matching the $100K donation.
Furthermore, Global Citizen estimates that about 260,000 people will benefit from the funds raised towards the Mama Hope Foundation.
