U.S. Attorney Benjamin Glassman revealed during a press conference in Dayton that 24-year-old Ethan Kollie, not only bought the items for Betts, but hid them in his own apartment “in order to assist Betts in hiding the items from Bett’s parents. Despite that, Glassman said there was no indication that Kollie willingly helped Betts in planning or carrying out the Aug. 4 mass shooting that left nine people dead.

Kollie, who was taken into custody on Friday in Beavercreek faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. On top of that, he’s facing another charge because he once lied on a federal form when he purchased his own pistol earlier this year, answering that he did not use marijuana or drugs, officials allege.

Kollie did recently admit to feds that he smoked marijuana every day for about 10 years and that he had not stopped smoking.

It was said that their have been 96 deaths from mass killings in the U.S. this year.
