Fugees Co-Founder Pras Michel Charged In Obama Super PAC Scheme
Federal prosecutors have charged Fugees rapper, and co-founder, Prakazrel “Pras” Michel in connection to an illegal Obama super PAC scheme.
In addition to Pras, prosecutors indicted Malaysian financier Jho Low on Friday (May 10) with four federal counts; which lists them conspiring to funnel funds from foreign accounts to issue political contributions to the U.S. during Obama’s 2012 campaign.
Additionally, the charges wholly include conspiracy; false statement; and two counts of false entry in record, and carry serious prison time.
Furthermore the former rapper’s attorney, Barry Pollack tells CNN:
“Mr. Michel is extremely disappointed that so many years after the fact the government would bring charges related to 2012 campaign contributions. Mr. Michel is innocent of these charges and looks forward to having the case heard by a jury.
