Gabrielle Union Breaks Silence On ‘America’s Got Talent’ Firing Controversy

As we previously covered, reports published Wednesday detailed alleged toxicity on the set of NBC’s hit talent series “America’s Got Talent.” According to Variety, Gabrielle Union is said to have brought up racially insensitive incidents to producers, and it led to her being fired! It was also said that she and fellow judge Julianne Hough, who was also ousted, reportedly received “excessive notes on their physical appearance.”

As for Union, she was reportedly told multiple times that her hairstyles were “too black” for the AGT audience! While Hough has denied a bad time while on set saying;

“I had a wonderful time on America’s Got Talent, I loved working with the cast, crew, and producers. I am happy to continue my working relationship with NBC,” Union has not, until now.

The actress spoke out seemingly confirming the news while thanking fans for their love and support. She tweeted late Wednesday,

“So many tears, so much gratitude. THANK YOU! Just when you feel lost, adrift, alone… you got me up off the ground. Humbled and thankful, forever ❤”

Despite that, the show source addressed the allegations Wednesday to Page Six, stating,

Ensuring a safe environment is so important to the show. Anytime someone comes forward and has issues, we take things very seriously.”
