Now updated reports have confirmed that Bill unfortunately passed away later that day. The rapper’s publicist, Dawn P., told Rolling Stone along with other outlets,

“Bushwick Bill passed away peacefully this evening at 9:35 P.M. He was surrounded by his immediate family. There were incorrect previous reports that he had passed away this morning. We are looking into doing a public memorial at a later date. His family appreciates all of the prayers and support and are asking for privacy at this time.”

Th rapper revealed just last month he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. His group was set to go on a reunion tour but decided to cancel because of his diagnosis.

Bushwick Bill, (Born Richard Shaw), Scarface and Willie D became the Geto Boys in Houston back in 1988 and signed with J. Prince’s Rap-A-Lot Records.
