Gigi Hadid Sued For $150,000 Over Image Of Zayn Malik
Gigi Hadid is the latest to be hit with a hefty lawsuit for posting a picture of her ex-boyfriend, Zayn Malik.
According to The Blast, court documents show that Robert O’Neil has filed suit against Hadid for copyright infringement over an image that he took of Zayn.
The photographer accuses Hadid of taking his photo and posting it on her Instagram story without his permission.
He adds, “Gigi Hadid did not license the Photograph from Plaintiff for her Instagram Story, nor did Gigi Hadid have Plaintiff’s permission or consent to publish the Photograph on her Instagram Story.”
“Gigi Hadid infringed Plaintiff’s copyright in the Photograph by reproducing and publicly displaying the Photograph on her Instagram Story. Gigi Hadid is not, and has never been, licensed or otherwise authorized to reproduce, publically display, distribute and/or use the Photograph.”
O’Neil is seeking damages in excess of $150,000.
She has had a few lawsuits from paparazzi companies in regards to posting images of herself that she allegedly had no rights to use. Gigi is one of the many celebrities fighting against this.
