“Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington is reportedly joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Deadline, Kit Harington has accepted a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Black Knight in “The Eternals.” At first, it was announced last night that his role would be kept as a secret and it would be announced during Disney’s D23 Expo. Marvel confirmed the news on their official Twitter page along with a cast photo of Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Lia Mchugh, Done Lee, Kumail Nanjani and Richard Madden.

The film will be directed by Chloe Zhao and slated for a November 2020 release date. The first issue of the Eternals was published in July 1976 and created by Jack Kirby.

Harington is well known for his role as Jon Snow on HBO’s Game of Thrones for eight seasons and it will be the first time he will film alongside fellow GOT castmate Richard Madden. Madden played as Ned Stark, Jon Snow’s father. Harington recently took a hiatus to focus on his wellbeing following up the series finale of Game of Thrones and checked into a retreat.
He was also nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his role in GOT.
