HBO Announces A Documentary on Fashion Icon Ralph Lauren

HBO is ready to highlight the amazing work of legendary fashion icon Ralph Lauren.

For six decades, Ralph Lauren has been a major name in the fashion industry having started his label back in 1967 with men’s ties.

Flash forward to 2019 and HBO is honoring the fashion icon with an in-depth look at the man who created a massive empire. The documentary will be titled “Very Ralph.”

The feature-length film is set to be directed and produced by award-winning documentarian Susan Lacy.

The release of this documentary will arrive just as Lauren enters his sixth decade in the fashion business as they reflect on his journey from a boy from the Bronx to one of the most recognizable names in fashion.

In the film, Lauren will also speak about his childhood, his five-decade-long marriage, the early days of his brand, his response to criticism, his multi-page ad campaigns, and his pioneering vision.

Interviews in this documentary will come from some of Laurens closest friends like Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld, André Leon Talley, Hillary Clinton, Robin Givhan, Jason Wu, Naomi Campbell, Martha Stewart, Calvin Klein, Tyson Beckford, Tina Brown, Diane von Furstenberg, Jessica Chastain, Vanessa Friedman, and Paul Goldberger.

Very Ralph premieres on HBO November 12.
