House Judiciary Committee Passes 2 Articles Of Impeachment Against Trump

On Friday, The House Judiciary Committee voted to pass two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. Yup, that’s right!

The committee’s decision was made after voting 23-17, along party lines, to pass both articles. As we previously reported, the first article of impeachment charges Trump with abuse of power and the second with obstruction of Congress. So what’s next? Well, according to Business Insider, the articles of impeachment will go to the full floor of the House for a final vote. It was said that they are expected to pass. Now, if the House impeaches the President, there will be a trial in the Senate beginning early next year.

Of course, following the panel’s quick deliberations, Trump lashed out at Democrats, saying their actions are an “embarrassment to this country.” Not too long ago, took to Twitter to express how he feels about it all:

How do you get Impeached when you have done NOTHING wrong (a perfect call), have created the best economy in the history of our Country, rebuilt our Military, fixed the V.A. (Choice!), cut Taxes & Regs, protected your 2nd A, created Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, and soo much more? Crazy!

The full House is expected to vote to impeach Trump next week, though Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has said there is “no chance” his chamber will vote to remove Trump from office.
