HU Exclusive: ASCAP’s “On The Come Up” Showcase
The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) returns to Los Angeles to showcase their up-and-coming artists.
The event took place at Troubadour in Hollywood, California. In the past, ASCAP has introduced artist including Miguel, DeJ Loaf, Fetty Wap, Eric Bellinger, Tasha Cobbs, and Mike Will. This year was hosted by Cam & China, Brittany B, and DJed by Skillz.
Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer Brittany B hit the stage to perform her single “Company” off her latest album Urban Nostalgia. Brittany spilled the tea on some upcoming music.
“[Black] Chyna and I are working on some music. All I can say is music is on the way.”
Cam and China were serving major 90’s vibe at the fan-packed event. The incredible duo is inspired by Jcole, Travis Scott, and the 90’s group Outcast. Felixx, RnB artist with 156K Followers on Instagram, believes Khloe Kardashian’s wish for more R&B music will come a lot sooner than she thinks.
“I can’t say more but I will say that dru-hill album is coming. She’s [Khloe] will be getting a Lauryn Hill album soon.”
Fans got exactly what was promised at the ASCAP’s “On The Come Up” event. Rapper, DJs, Producers, Singers all took to the stage to perform some of their most popular songs.
