There’s a whole new cast and a whole new city as the show “Black Ink Crew” lands in Compton!
VH1’s series “Black Ink Crew” is taking over Compton as they not only bring a new vibe to the west coast but also make history.
On Wednesday, Hollywood Unlocked was at The Parlor in Hollywood to watch the premiere of the new series.
Danny “KP” Kirkpatrick who was born and raised in Compton set out to bring the first-ever tattoo shop to the city which often gets a bad rap. Wanting to create a place where people of Compton could stay away from the gang, the guns and the violence, KP opened the “IAMCompton” tattoo shop.
He along with his team of talented artists, which include Lemier, Vudu Dahl, Nessie, Ink Drippen, store manager Tim, and receptionist Barbie, have set out to bring the best tattoos to the west coast.
When asked what will make this season different from the others in New York and Chicago, shows executive producer Rasheed J. Daniel said;
You can catch Black Ink Crew Compton every Wednesday night on VH1. Take a look at the recap up top and let us know what you think!
