Hollywood Unlocked had exclusive access to the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere of Spike Lee’s latest film “BlackkKlansman”!
The visionary filmmaker Spike Lee brought to life the incredible true story of an American hero Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) who was the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department in the early 1970s. The film shows the rookie cop who is determined to make a name for himself as he bravely sets out on a dangerous mission to infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan.
Hollywood Unlocked got a chance to speak with Spike Lee, as well as members of the star-studded cast including John David Washington, Topher Grace, Damaris Lewis, Ashlie Atkinson, Paul Walter Hauser, and one of the film’s writers Kevin Wilmott. Actress Garcelle Beauvais, singer Kelly Rowland, and iconic comedian Dave Chapelle also hit the red carpet and showed us some love.
