Hollywood Unlocked got exclusive access to attend Matt Barnes annual Athletes VS. Cancer Bowl4ACure event at Lucky Stike in Downtown LA.
The non-profit organization was founded by NBA champion Matt Barnes and works to provide comprehensive resources, support, and advocacy for families and survivors affected by cancer across all populations. According to the site’s mission, Athletes VS Cancer works in partnership with other athletes, celebrities, and influencers to fund research, education, and outreach in hopes of promoting early detection with the ultimate goal of cancer prevention.
Each year Barnes host a series of events in support of AVC’s mission. Celebrities and influencers filled Lucky Strike DTLA while enjoying a full reception dinner, complimentary bowling, and special guest performances. In attendance with Matt Barnes were Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee, radio personality Big Boy, Nick and Dan Rue of “Wild N Out”, rapper/actor Khleo Thomas, among many more.
Attendees danced while others played rounds of bowling and enjoyed an array of free food and drinks. The Bowl4ACure event is one of four events Matt Barnes host in support of the Athletes VS Cancer initiative. Smoke4ACure, AVC Pool Party, and the AVC Celebrity Football Game are all apart of a 4-day span of events to help raise cancer awareness and work towards a cure.
