Diaper brand Huggies just made history after featuring an image of a black father and daughter on its new packaging. This marks the first time that the brand has ever featured a black parent and child.

Joe Flowers Jr from Chicago, Illinois, U.S, initially shared the image via Facebook and the post quickly gaining over 100,000 likes and comments, with many applauding the brand for the long-overdue move.

On his post-Joe added,

“Huggies done went and put a black father on the package of their diapers. This is a first in history look how far we’ve come. I’m about to buy these for no reason whatsoever.”

Many were happy with the new imagery, one commentator said, “Outstanding! Finally shining a great light on black fathers! Good job. I’ll buy some and give them away!”

According to Metro UK, the new packaging is a part of the new line of eco-friendly diapers that are called Huggies Special Delivery and are made from plant-based materials derived from sugarcane.
