Instagram was flooded with those disturbing pictures which upset most of the IG community. Many people said they reported it but it was still visible under certain hashtags. Three days later, the social media company finally figured out a way to disable the hashtags that trolls were using to keep the images spreading. It was said that Instagram also waited until police arrested Clark before it disabled his own profile.

An Instagram spokesman released a statement through the DailyMail.com and said,

“Our thoughts go out to those affected by this tragic event. We are taking every measure to remove this content from our platforms.”

Devins’ family said they are “haunted” by the photos that were almost impossible to unsee on social media. Her mother added,

“Our family is devastated by the loss of our beautiful angel, Bianca.  My heart is completely shattered, having lost my best friend. We will always remember her beautiful smile that lit up our lives. Her spirit will strengthen us and live on forever. While I could not be there to protect her from this violent end, I will now be her voice and spread the message of ‘love, not violence.”
