In addition to critics believing he took shots at Kanye West on his 2016 track “False Prophets,” J. Cole is now being accused of doing it again on his latest single “Middle Child.”
Since releasing his anti-clout-chasing buzzer, Cole leaves fans wondering if he’s not only coming for chasers, but Yeezy as well — as he seemingly matches the “fraudulent” behavior rapped about.
Additionally, the Fayetteville, North Carolina native spits, “But I’d never beef with a n—a for nothin’ / If I smoke a rapper, it’s gon’ be legit / It won’t be for clout, it won’t be for fame / It won’t be ’cause my sh-t ain’t sellin’ the same / It won’t be to sell you my latest lil’ sneakers / It won’t be ’cause some n—a slid in my lane.”
