Jada Pinkett Smith is getting candid about her marriage to Will Smith in an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk.
Actress Jada Pinkett is sharing personal details about her marriage to actor Will Smith in an upcoming episode of “Red Table Talk.”
In a recent teaser, Smith can be seen talking with couples therapist Esther Perel about the various forms of relational betrayal in her relationship.
“I’m asked a lot about, ‘Is there infidelity in your relationship with Will?'” Smith says. “And it’s like, ‘No, but there have been other betrayals of the heart that have been far bigger than I could even think in regards to an infidelity situation.'”
While she doesn’t get into specific details in the trailer, Peal shares that there are different forms of betrayal which could be related to what Smith is talking about including contempt, neglect, violence and indifference.
“I have to tell you: Me cheating on someone was more devastating than me being cheated on,” she tells her mother. “Yes, it actually taught me to forgive when I got cheated on because I understood. And what I understood most was it didn’t have anything to do with me.”
Smith has been very open about her relationship to Will, even shutting down rumors that the two were getting a divorce and sitting down on her show to talk with Wills ex-wife.
The full interview will be available to watch on Monday.
