Jared Kushner Has Reportedly Asked Trump To Pardon Multiple Rappers
It looks like Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner is on a mission to pardon a few rappers.
According to Vanity Fair, Kushner has reportedly encouraged Trump to release incarcerated hip-hop stars after recently teaming up with Ivanka Trump and Kim Kardashian to pardon Alice Marie Johnson, the great-grandmother who received a life sentence two decades ago over a non-violent drug crime.
It was said that Kim actually gave Kushner the list of people who she thinks they should help pardon, some of whom are hip-hop artists. The report doesn’t name specific rappers. However, there are many artists who might be on that list, such as Bobby Shmurda, C-Murder, Kodak Black, and even Meek Mill.
“They’re going to be pardoning a lot of people—pardons that even Obama wouldn’t do,” a source told Vanity Fair.
Now, this may actually happen, depending on who they’re pardoning. Trump has been in a great mood after getting positive feedback for commuting Johnson’s life sentence.
He even mentioned that he was thinking about pardoning the late boxing legend Muhammad Ali, although it’s not really necessary. Kim also said she’s going to continue helping people in similar situations.
