JaVale McGee is the latest athlete to suffer a home burglary with one of his most prized possessions being taken.
Golden State Warriors player JaVale McGee’s home is the latest to be hit by thieves as they make off with money, personal items, and one of his most prized possessions.
Officials say that McGee noticed his home had been hit on Tuesday, however, after police watched surveillance footage, they were able to come to the conclusion the robbery actually happened that Saturday.
In the video, they were able to discover thieves broke into two safes, stealing at least $200,000 in money and jewelry. One of the jewelry items included one of his two NBA championship rings. As of now, there is no word on which one they took, but both of them were won with the Warriors in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
It’s also being reported that the goggles he wore during one of three post-championship champagne showers were also stolen.
As of now, there are no suspects that have been named. However, McGee has shared that he has a state-of-the-art surveillance system, so the likely hood of them being caught his very high.
McGee actually took to Instagram sharing the quality of his security cameras on a video of him trying to fight off a bug.
As more information becomes available we will keep you updated!
