21 Savage’s ICE case is gaining more support now that Jay-Z and Roc Nation has decided to assist the Atlanta rapper by hiring an attorney.
According to TMZ, Jay-Z was disgusted by the arrest and imprisonment of 21 Savage and called the case “an absolute travesty”. He articulated in a statement that 21 Savage, real name Shay’aa Bin Abraham-Joseph, applied for a U Visa application and was placed in pending status for years and he “deserves to be reunited with his children immediately”.Roc Nation has hired attorney Alex Spiro to help with 21’s case.
Spiro says the fight for 21’s freedom will not end until justice is done:
“We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge… What we here were someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for 4 years – not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed, but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed.”
