Looks like the Los Angeles Lakers have a few decisions to make amid their bad first season with LeBron James!
The 2019 NBA season is coming to an end and the Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss has some major decisions to make.
This week, the Lakers were having conversations with the Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Ty Lue who is very familiar with NBA great LeBron James.
Lue, who was offered a position as head coach of the Lakers declined the offer due to money. However, looks like Buss is getting told that she should trade LeBron now that Lue is no longer a deciding factor.
Stephen A. Smith while appearing on SportsCenter said;
“Nothing is out of bounds right now,” Smith said, in the clip below. “We don’t know what the hell is going on in Los Angeles. You’ve got folks close to Jeanie Buss imploring her to trade LeBron James. He does not have a no-trade clause, and now you haven’t given him the coach that he wanted.”
When James signed with the Lakers they indeed did not put in a no-trade clause in his contract, so there is a possibility that a trade could happen either soon or in the future.
James likely isn’t happy that he’s not getting Lue as head coach, especially considering their established relationship from their time together in Cleveland.
On the most recent episode of The Shop, LeBron said;
“My right hand comes to me and say, ‘Magic just stepped down.’ I’m like man, get the fuck out of my face, you bullshitting. I go check my phone, I look at it, the shit happened,” he said. “Personally for me, I came here to be a part of the Lakers organization, having the conversation with Magic. So, it was just weird for [Magic Johnson] to just be like, ‘Nah, I’m out of here.”
As of now, there is a lot going on with the Lakers, but as soon as we get more info about what will happen with the team we will keep you updated!
