Judge Under Fire For Hugging Amber Guyger
Judge Tammy Kemp, who hugged Amber Guyger at the conclusion of her murder trial, is under fire for her actions.
According to CNN, the Freedom From Religion Foundation on filed a complaint against Kemp for judicial misconduct.
The group believes that Kemp went too far by hugging Amber and giving her a bible after she was sentenced.
“You can have mine. I have three or four at home,” Kemp was heard saying to the 31-year-old former police officer, according to WFAA.
Despite being black, Kemp has also been criticized by different groups who question whether a black defendant would get the same treatment as Guyger.
As we reported, Guyger was sentenced by a jury to 10 years behind bars for the murder of 26-year-old Botham Jean.
