Juice WRLD Becomes Most Streamed Artist In The U.S. After His Death

The Chicago rapper becomes the most-streamed artist in the United States shortly after his death over the weekend.

According to XXL, Juice WRLD’s entire discography rapidly increased on Sunday after news of his untimely passing. His catalog brought in over 28.2 million streams and it is 24 million more than any other artist in the country since the day of his death. His latest album, Deathrace for Love, sold 10,300 units and his debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance, also sold 13,000 units physically on that day.

His biggest hit, Lucid Dreams, became the most-streamed song after news of his passing and sold 3,000 digital downloads. His other singles, “Robbery” and “All Girls Are The Same” had similar stats.

Currently, the details surrounding Juice WRLD’s death are being investigated by police and a cause of death has not been determined. The 21-year-old rapper died at Chicago’s Midway International Airport on Dec.8 after arriving from California on a private jet. He apparently had a seizure while authorties searched the aircraft for drugs and weapons.
