Jussie Requests Chicago Lawsuit Be Moved To Federal Court
Wednesday (July 4) Jussie Smollett filed a motion to move the lawsuit, filed against him, with the city of Chicago to federal court.
While, the suit sits in state court, Smollett’s attorneys argue it’ll be more appropriate to conduct in federal court; this due to him being a California resident, solely living in the city for filming purposes.
Additionally, the city initially filed the suit after Smollett refused to pay investigation fees for the hate crime he allegedly staged with brothers, Abel and Ola Osundairo.
