Fashion Powerhouse designer Karl Lagerfeld teams up with Vans for a new collab.
You have heard his name and seen his designs, but now get ready to wear them.
Lagerfeld, known as the head designer and creative director of Chanel as well as Fendi, is bringing his signature look to Vans.
Bringing together footwear and apparel, WWD says they are “fusing the two brands’ respective universes. Vans’ iconic checkerboard pattern is set to receive a camouflage update, depicting Lagerfeld’s iconic profile, with boucle fabric and a quilted letter K among other leitmotifs.”
The six piece collection is said to feature some of Vans’ most iconic shoes, including the Sk8-Hi laceless platform, Classic Slip-On, and Old Skool laceless styles.
Vans has teamed up with several other high fashion brands. These names include Opening Ceremony, Alyx, Fear of God, and Marc Jacobs.
While there is no solid picture of what this collaboration will look like, we do know that it will bring together luxury and street style.
This collection is said to also have a T-shirt with an image of Lagerfeld wearing a checkerboard tie, a black-and-white raglan sleeve bomber, and a premium leather backpack sporting the quilted letter K.
The collection is set to release on September 7th. That makes it right in time for Fashion Week, with prices ranging from $40 to $300.
