Kevin Hart Officially Apologizes To The LGBTQ Community On His Radio Show

Kevin Hart has finally done what the Academy has been asking him to do; apologize to the LGBTQ community for his old homophobic tweets. The comedian made the big move during his podcast “Straight From the Hart” on Monday. He said,

“Once again, Kevin Hart apologizes for his remarks that hurt members of the LGBTQ community. I apologize,” the comedian and actor said on his SiriusXM show.

He continued:

“I am now moving on from this because I am hoping the apology is accepted. … I am not homophobic and never have been.”

Hart, 39, said that he previously “thought it was OK to talk like that because that’s how we talked to one another.” He says he now understands that “this is wrong.” This is now Hart’s second time apologizing to the LGBTQ community since stepping down. He did so last week while making an appearance on the “Ellen Show.

While he was there, host Ellen DeGeneres shared that she spoke with Academy and they’ve made it clear that they still want him as the host for the 2019 Oscar awards. Hart said he would “evaluate” the conversation and get back to Ellen when he makes a final decision.

By the way things are going, it looks like he’s taking the right steps before reclaiming his title as host. Socialites, do you think Hart will do the job? Let us know in the comment box below!
