Kim Jong Un Warns United States In New Year’s Address

Kim Jong Un is starting off the year with some pretty strong words for the United States and President Trump!

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has started 2019 off with his annual New Year’s address, but this year his message was aimed directly at the US and President Trump.

Un was stern in his message letting everyone know that if the United States attempts to impose more sanctions, we will not be in good standings.

“If the U.S. fails to carry out its promise, we might be compelled to explore a new path for defending the sovereignty of our country and supreme interests of our state and achieving peace and stability of the Korean peninsula,” he said, before adding that the U.S. “break[s] its promises and misjudges our patience by unilaterally demanding certain things and pushes ahead with sanctions and pressure.”

Although there were major threats in his message, Un says that he is “always ready to sit together with the U.S. president any time in the future.”

In the 30 minute address, Kim also states that the United States and North Korea could “produce results welcomed by the international community,” but not with continuing sanctions on the country.
