Kodak Black Blames GPS For Giving Wrong Directions Leading To Arrest
As we reported, Kodak Black was arrested on weapons and drugs charges at the U.S. Border Wednesday, but he didn’t stay in the slammer for too long. The rapper was released after paying a hefty $20,000 cash bond.
The rapper is now putting the blame on his travel system for getting him busted at the border. He says dude to reviewing wrong directions from his GPS it caused him to unwittingly drive into Canada.
Apparently, Kodak planned to drive himself from Detroit to Boston on Wednesday so he punched the destination into his GPS, and it put him on the most direct route which is through Canada, NY and onto Massachusetts. However, close sources tell TMZ that Kodak had no idea he was leaving the US.
Once he arrived at the border, cops say they found a Glock 9mm pistol and weed in the Cadillac Escalade the rapper was driving. A Porsche traveling with Kodak’s team was also had 2 loaded handguns and a third in the trunk in addition to more weed.
After posting bond, Kodak was forced to cancel his show in Boston Wednesday night and his Thursday night show in Connecticut. His Friday night show in Philly is scheduled to go on as planned.
