Kodak Black wants in on a prison drug rehabilitation program while he serves his 46 month sentence in Florida, and if he’s approved his sentence could be significantly shortened.

According to TMZ, legal documents were recently filed on Monday asking for the rapper to be sent to a jail that offers a Residential Drug Abuse Program. Kodak would partake in a 500-hour program over the course of 9-months.

Those who participate in the program will live in separate housing than general population, which would be ideal for his high profile status.

In addition, after successfully completing the program, inmates are able to get 12 months removed from their prison sentence.

As we reported, prior to receiving his sentencing on Wednesday, the rapper took responsibility for his criminal activities.

“I’m sorry for the actions that led me for where I’m standing. I do take full responsibility for my mishap.”

It’s not immediately clear when a decision will be made.
