Kristoff St. John Cause Of Death Determined As Heart Disease Caused By Alcohol Abuse
“Young & The Restless” actor Kristoff St. John’s autopsy has revealed that the star accidentally died from heart disease due to a longterm problem he had with alcohol abuse.
The Blast reports that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said that the actor sadly passed away from hypertrophic heart disease. His heart also showed signs of “myocardial bridging,” which typically stems from alcohol abuse. His death has been ruled as an accident.
As we reported, St. John was found dead at his home in Woodland Hills on Superbowl Sunday. He was just 52 years old.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an investigation took place around 2:05 p.m. into a potential alcohol overdose at the 2300 block of Morea Way. His body was later discovered after one of his friends went to check on his wellbeing.
Sources close to the star said he had been suffering since his son’s death. He has been laid to rest next to him.
