An Alabama woman was arrested after it was discovered she was tampering with drug and paternity test results.
The Root reports Brandy Murrah,36, was arrested last Friday for altering the results of drug and paternity tests. Ozark police conducted an investigation after receiving evidence that Murrah forged two drug test results at her company, A&J Lab Collections. She had a contract with the Dale County Department of Human Resources to perform drug and paternity tests. Results from those screenings proved that Murrah was interfering with the results.
Ozark investigators are now scrambling to see if any children were wrongfully taken from their parents as a result of Murrah’s interference with paternity test results.
Murrah was charged with two counts of forgery and Ozark Sgt. Cody Evans said in a statement that investigators believe there are more drug screening results from DHR that could have been tampered with.
He added that it is too early to prove if the allegations are true since the investigation has started but he knows multiple families have been affected by Murrah’s actions.
“We will definitely make right the wrong that was done by her.”
Currently, Murrah is not in police custody but she is cooperating with the investigation.
