Lamar Odom Wishes He’d Taken Advice From JAY-Z, Reveals He Had 12 Strokes & 6 Heart Attacks
Ahead of his tell-all memoir, ‘Darkness to Light,’ Lamar Odom sat down for his latest interview to promote, this time with Talib Kweli, where dishes on sex and drug addiction, advice from JAY-Z, and his health battles, including 12 strokes and 6 heart attacks.
Additionally, via UPROXX‘s ‘People’s Party‘ series, Odom points out his reason for still being on Earth to share his story and help others, detailing, “Yeah, I’m going to keep it real with you too, like I had twelve strokes and six heart attacks. I got one uncle, he had one stroke, he’s totally f**ked up. [I had twelve.] Like, my moth is not twisted, I can still talk to you right now, understand me? You see? And six heart attacks?”
In addition, Odom shares advice he got from Hov, who talked him out of starting a record label. He recalls, “He was like ‘Nah homie, you should be doing what Magic is doing. Doing real estate or something. I think I took it the wrong way. Like, these motherf**kers must be scared of me. I didn’t listen to big homie, but I wish I would. Sometimes I think, what if I’d have listened to Hov’s advice?”
