LAPD Says Nipsey Hussle Was NOT Target Of A Gang Investigation
Yesterday it was reported that the LAPD was investigating Nipsey Hussle prior to his death, however, they have come out to refute these claims.
The New York Times reported that police were looking into the rapper’s involvement with any potential gang activity, despite Nipsey being an advocate against gang violence.
However, per TMZ, sources close to the LAPD state that Nipsey was not a target of their investigation and it was more centered around gang activity in the area near the Marathon store. Hussle, 33, was shot and killed on March 31 at the same location.
Page Six reached out to the LAPD in regards to the matter and they said,
“At this time, we are not discussing any criminal investigation related to Nipsey Hussle.”
Following his death, the LAPD mourned the rapper’s loss and praised him for his community work.
