It pays to be the son of LeBron James, not only because he’s a superstar basketball player, but because he gives his kids wine for being mature.
On Tuesday, LeBron James spoke to reporters after practice and mentioned something that may have been a joke in regards to his parenting style with his sons.
During the interview, James was asked about his time playing with younger players when the reporter alluded to the fact that his two oldest kids watch the same shows as his teammates. But that might not be the case as LeBron stated,
“I’ve got very mature 14- and 11-year-olds,” James said. “My 14- and 11-year-olds drink wine. Yeah, that’s how mature they are. They’ll be driving next week, too.”
The reporter follower his initial question up with what typed of wine they consume which prompted LeBron to say
“Whatever dad and mom’s having. Put it on me, though. Don’t put it on moms. Put it on dad, put it on dad.”
That last comment about them driving may have been a joke given his kids age, but whose parents didn’t let them have a little sip of their “adult drink” when they were younger? I know mine did!
Going into the season we hope to see LeBron cracking jokes in more of his interviews win or lose!
